My name is Peggy Carlier and I am from Belgium. I have been living in the Netherlands, close to Amsterdam, for twelve years. I work at the AMT as a French-speaking, in close collaboration with Eline Snel. I also work at my own practice as a therapist. The experience I wanted to acquire in training at the AMT was not only the expertise, but also the know-how to be present with yourself and with others.

As a child psychologist, I taught children with cognitive behavioral therapy to replace their unhelpful thoughts into more helpfull ones. To me, this sounded like as if they were not allowed to have unhelpfull thoughts. This is something which I find really difficult. I wanted to teach children to cope with all the pearls and puzzles of life, in a way that matches my personal experiences with mindfulness. I have seen many positive results of mindfulness in children with psychiatric disorders. But I would like all the children to experience the positive effects of mindfulness.

My name is Angie and I am the Asia based contact for AMT. I am originally from Australia but found myself falling in love with Hong Kong 25 years ago, and have since called it home. I have been teaching mindfulness to children and adolescence for the past few years with great success. My desire to teach mindfulness to young people came after experiencing the beneficial impact of mindfulness practices with university students. I am actively involved in bringing an awareness of the benefits of mindfulness learning and skills development to Hong Kong's families and schools.

My name is Elisenda and I live in a small village near Barcelona. From the centre that I own with Joost Scharrenberg, I coordinate the activities of AMT in Spain and give different programs of mindfulness to children and adults. It is exciting to be part of the changes in the wellbeing and relations that mindfulness practice brings to children, their families, and schools. Happy to be part of the large little frog family!

I live and practice in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist my main interest have been in childhood wellbeing, resilience and prevention, interests which have naturally come together since training under Eline at the AMT. What I enjoy most is being in schools and teaching mindfulness to children and adolescents. As the AMT´s South American coordinating Partner my on-going challenge is to contribute to create school communities that openly practice love and kindness.
To be able to be aware of what is happening while it is happening!! It seems so simple…and we can even practice it. I try to do it every day! Children already have it and I love to be able to help them remember it from the AMT. It is a privilege to do what I like most within a team of beautiful people. It is wonderful to see how Eline’s method crosses borders and helps all children, with or without developmental challenges to gain more awareness of their dreams and feelings helping them live a full, kind and happy life. Together with Christian Plebst, with whom I work together for a long time, we will be the AMT coordinating partners for South America with pleasure.
It’s wonderful to be able to contribute to the Academy for Mindful Teaching. I really enjoy working for Eline Snel and Anne Marlijn Hauserer. It is inspirational to experience their enthusiasm and their commitment to mindfulness worldwide from close-by. I’m the person to turn to for everything connected to course enrolment at the International Academy for Mindful Teaching.

As an AMT student, you can come to me for all your questions. I’m the link between student and teacher. I consider it an honour to be part of the AMT, because it’s fantastic to be able to contribute to the ‘delivery’ of great children’s’ trainers!
From my own experience I know how important and good mindfulness can be. I'm glad to be part of the Academy for Mindful Teaching. I am your contact for the webshop and are happy to help you with any questions of remarks about our products and your orders.
For me, communication is a natural way to make a connection, share information and experiences, and to let people know what is happening in the field of ‘Mindfulness Matters!’. I take care of the social media, website content and communication for the AMT. I am an AMT-trained mindfulness trainer for children and young people.
