During the training of the younger children it’s great if parents support their children at home in a playful way with the frog exercises, the spaghetti test or other favourite exercises. Practice makes perfect. And that’s also true of mindfulness for children.
Do you have children who follow the adolescent training? Many young people for example prefer the parents not to interfere too much, although an occasional reminder to practice ‘is allowed’. The books ‘Sitting still like a Frog’ and ‘Breathe through this – Mindfulness for Parents and Teenagers’ are seamlessly in line with respectively the children’s and adolescents’ training and give you, as a parent, more insight into mindfulness. For adolescents, the ‘Sitting Still’ app is available (which as it happens, is also great fun for adults).
